My Workshop Designs

Most of the information for these workshops is delivered via written text images and verbally.

All of these workshops have accessibility designed in from the first step of designing them.

I’m more than happy to adapt any of my workshops so they are more accessible.

When planning and facilitating the workshops I make sure that

I consider the different skill levels of all of the participants.

Create Your Own World

Online or in person workshop

For this workshop I ask the participants to create their own analogue photo collage.

To create this photo collage the participants can use flyers leaflets and magazines,

which otherwise would be thrown away.

This workshop could be based on whatever the participants want,

for example either be a totally imagined world or based on an actual location.

I will give the participants phrases to help their creative juices get started.

I would encourage participants to except help with cutting out the images if needed.

Also I would be happy If 2 of the participants wanted to work together rather than working on their own.

As part of this workshop I would be happy to give the participants a photo shop demonstration.

As the main part of this I show the participants how they could layer up the photographs

to help give a sense of depth to the artwork.

‘A Sense of Place’ Photo Collage

Online or in person workshop

For this workshop I ask the participants to create their own photo collages.

Also in this workshop participants are encouraged to sketch out their ideas for their photo collage before starting creating this,

with extra time in the workshop for this. Their photo collage could be anything they want to create

or subjects linked in with a bigger project. To create their photo collages the participants can use flyers leaflets and magazines,

which otherwise would be thrown away.

As part of this workshop I’d be more than happy to show the steps I go through when creating one of my photo collages.

Before the group start creating their photo collages I would be more than happy to give a photo shop demonstration to them.

I am fine with participants asking for help with any part of creating their photo collage, help with cutting out the images.

Also I will encourage participants to consider which images they want to use for their photo collage.

The Big Artistic Jigsaw

In person workshop

In this workshop I get the group to create a photo collage together.

With each participant deciding where to add his or her own images to the photo collage.

So the final artwork is random as there isn’t any group discussion on where the images should go.

The only guide I add to the base sheet of paper is the skyline. The images and paper for this are both naturally quite large,

with most of the images been A4 size.

I encourage the group to consider the colours and textures in each image before they placed them onto the artwork.

I mentioned to the group that the images can be stuck straight onto the artwork or they can cut them out first.

I’m more than happy at the end of the workshop to discuss the artwork with the group.

This workshop only works in person.
