Rye From The North

In this artwork I wanted to play around with stacking the different buildings on top of each other. So I could show the steep hill running up to the church.

Going across the foreground of the artwork there is a light green coloured river. On the left hand side in the foreground there is a white small sailing boat. On the right hand side there is a longer sailing boat that is creamy white in colour. Behind both of the boats there is a grey stone pontoon with 4 large posts, which are spaced along the length of the pontoon. On the middle ground on the left-hand side there is a group of old Victorian houses. In particular there is a narrow brick house with 2 windows. Next to the anchor on the right hand side there is a double story black old warehouse. The right hand side in the middle ground there is a red phone box. Behind this there is a large white building. On the background in the left-hand side there is long white building with black beans. Above this building their are 3 old Victorian buildings.
